Board of Directors
Owen has served as a member of the BlackLine Board since August 2018, and as Chair since January 2023. From July 2018 through April 2022, Owen worked for Geller & Company and Geller Advisors in several roles, including Chief Executive Officer, Managing Principal and Chief Strategy Officer. In 2016 and 2017, Owen served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of AEGIS Insurance, a mutual insurance company. Prior to joining AEGIS, Owen worked at Deloitte from 1985 until 2016 where he was the CEO and Managing Partner of Deloitte Advisory from 2008. Owen also serves on the board of Lincoln Financial Group. He holds a B.S. from New Jersey City University and an M.B.A. from Columbia University, and is a certified public accountant.
Therese founded BlackLine in 2001. She designed the first offerings of BlackLine’s products, engineered its transition to the cloud in 2007, and has led the organization in automating the financial close process via the company’s flagship Finance Controls and Automation Platform. Under her direction, BlackLine experienced strong growth since its inception. Previously, Therese served as Chief Technology Officer for SunGard Treasury Systems. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of Illinois.
David Henshall most recently served as President & CEO of Citrix Systems, a leading multinational provider of cloud computing and virtualization technology, where he held executive roles for the past nearly twenty years. Prior to his role as President, CEO, and Director of Citrix, Henshall served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer, overseeing the company’s worldwide finance, operations, and administration organizations. Before joining Citrix, he served as Chief Financial Officer of Rational Software Corporation, a software company acquired by IBM Corporation. An experienced public company board director, Henshall also actively serves as a member of the boards of directors of GitLab, Inc., Feedzai, Inc. and Presidio, and was formerly the Chairman of the board of directors of Everbridge, Inc., and a director of HashiCorp, Inc., Aspen Technology, Inc., New Relic, Inc. and LogMeIn, Inc.
Sam Balaji is an accomplished senior executive, who has built and scaled technology businesses and successfully led complex business transformations throughout his three decades of senior leadership roles. Over his 28 years in various leadership roles at Deloitte, most recently as the global CEO of Deloitte’s Consulting business, Sam has driven change and transformation at scale, and has a strong track record of building and leading diverse, global teams across North America, Europe and Asia. Sam has a proven record of building and scaling several tech-enabled businesses through the adoption of technology and data platforms, partner ecosystems, and industry sector depth and breadth.
Sam currently serves on the Boards of CarltonOne, Cprime and 1Touch.io, and brings extensive governance experience from his tenure on Deloitte's USA and Global Boards, where he served as Vice-Chair and chaired Compensation and Strategy committees across multiple markets. He holds an MS in Computer Science and Automation from the Indian Institute of Science.
Scott Davidson is a seasoned executive with extensive leadership experience in the technology and software sectors, specializing in financial management, digital transformation, and strategic growth. With a distinguished career spanning multiple publicly traded companies, Scott has held key leadership roles, including Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer, where he has driven operational excellence, financial strategy, and large-scale transformation initiatives within the Office of the CFO.
Scott is the Founder of D4i Capital, leveraging deep expertise in strategy, financial management, acquisitions, and digital transformation to advise and invest in high-growth technology businesses. Previously, he served as Chief Operating Officer at Alteryx, Inc., where he played a pivotal role in scaling operations and accelerating growth. Prior to that, he held executive finance roles at Docker, Hortonworks, and Quest Software, overseeing financial strategy, acquisitions, and operational leadership.
Beyond executive management, Scott contributes his expertise to several boards, including PowerGem, Technosylva, Tungsten Automation, Veracode, and Appfire, providing strategic guidance to innovative technology companies.
Scott holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Florida Atlantic University and an MBA from the University of Miami.
Camille has served as a member of BlackLine's Board of Directors since March 2024, drawing on her more than 36 years leading finance and global business process services at oil, gas, and energy leader bp. She currently serves as Senior Vice President Finance Business and Technology, overseeing worldwide finance, procurement, customer, and HR business services teams. She also has held several senior finance roles at bp including CFO of Gas Trading Europe. Recognized for her distinguished career at bp, as well as for driving diversity and inclusion within and outside of organizations, Camille has been named multiple times to the UK’s ‘Powerlist’ of the 100 most influential black leaders. She holds an MBA from the Henley Business School.
Storm Duncan brings three decades of experience in the technology industry, including deep M&A expertise and operational leadership as a technology company CEO. He is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Ignatious, a leading technology-focused M&A advisory firm specializing in artificial intelligence and software. Prior to founding Ignatious, he served as Global Head of Technology M&A at Jefferies, and as Global Head of Technology M&A at Credit Suisse. During his career, he has advised on landmark transactions across the software and internet sectors, including Google’s acquisitions of YouTube and DoubleClick, the sale of Tinder to Match, and on the sale of MySQL to Sun, and of Sun to Oracle amongst many others. He has also served as CEO of multiple technology companies, leading technology development and operations, and as a board member, investor, or strategic advisor to numerous software and AI companies including Automatic, Dataminr, Fieldguide, Gecko Robotics, Guideline, Sundrop, Worldcoin, and You.com. Storm holds a B.A. in Political Science and American Studies from Yale University and an M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Michigan.
Greg is currently a Senior Operating Partner at Francisco Partners. Previously, Greg served as CEO of Veritas, a global leader in data protection and other mission-critical software. Under his leadership, Veritas re-ignited growth, successfully transitioned to a new subscription pricing model, and created and scaled a cloud business. The transformation of Veritas culminated in a merger of the data protection business with Cohesity, an AI-powered data security and management company. Greg continues to serve on the board of the merged entity. He was the CEO of Serena Software, where he led the successful turnaround and sale to Micro Focus International Plc. Greg has also held executive roles in technology investment firms HGGC and Silver Lake Partners. In addition to his executive roles, he brings significant public board experience, having served on the board of LogMeIn, a publicly traded collaboration software company, from 2011 to 2017.
Megan Prichard brings significant experience working with companies in disruptive technologies and high-growth industries. Ms. Prichard currently works at Virgin Galactic as the Chief Growth Officer. Prior to this role, she held various responsibilities at Uber including the Head of US Mobility, Head of Product Launch Operations and General Manager, Uber Air, Regional General Manager, West JUMP Scooters, General Manager, Uber West Rides and within the Global Premium and New Verticals business. Between her various roles at Uber, Prichard worked as the Vice President of Commercialization at General Motors’ self-driving vehicle subsidiary Cruise and as Global Head of Autonomous Ridesharing at Ford. Before her work in alternative transportation, she worked in consulting at McKinsey & Company. She also founded JustMovedHere.com, a social networking and city guide website designed to facilitate the moving process. Megan holds a B.A. in Economics from Yale University and a J.D. from the University of Southern California.
Bruny has served as a member of BlackLine’s Board of Directors since January 2023, drawing on her more than twenty years of experience in Finance and Accounting at Dell Technologies. Bruny most recently served as Chief Accounting Officer at Dell, overseeing a global organization of more than a thousand people, and prior to that time served as the company’s Senior Vice President of Global Revenue and Vice President of Corporate Accounting. No stranger to widescale transformative initiatives, Bruny helped oversee the merger of Dell Technologies and EMC Corporation in 2016, addressing countless overlapping projects and processes, while working to embrace the best of both company cultures. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from the Universidad de Puerto Rico.
Tom has served as a member of BlackLine’s Board of Directors since 2010. He founded Rustic Canyon Partners, a venture capital firm, in 1999 and was a Partner, and serving on boards of directors of several of the firm’s portfolio companies until 2024. Previously, Tom was an executive of The Times Mirror Company, a newspaper publishing company that was acquired by Tribune Co., most recently serving as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. He is currently a director of several non-profit and civil rights organizations. He holds a J.D. from the University of Chicago and a B.A. from Princeton University.
Sophia has served as a member of BlackLine’s Board of Directors since March 2020. A prominent AI business leader, Sophia draws on her over 20 years bringing emerging technologies and products to market at top high tech companies. Sophia previously served as the Chief Product Officer at Aptiv managing over $5 billion in annual revenue.
Prior to that, she held executive leadership roles at Microsoft including Chief AI Technology Officer in Business Applications and General Manager for AI products and search. Prior to Microsoft, Sophia served as Doppler Lab’s Chief Product Officer. Previously, she headed Google/Nest’s Silicon and Architecture Roadmap team and led the Platform Architecture “Think Tank” Program at Apple. Sophia is an AI advisor for the U.S. National Science Foundation, an independent federal agency that supports science and engineering. Sophia also serves on Georgia Tech’s College of Engineering board. She previously served as a chair of World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council. She holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech and an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
Barbara has served as a member of our Board of Directors since April 2021. Barbara is the former VP of Inclusion and Diversity at Apple. Previously, she was Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer at Intel. Barbara began her career as an electrical engineer holding leadership and project engineering roles with BellSouth and NCR. She holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of South Carolina, an an M.B.A. from the University’s Darla Moore School of Business, and a PhD in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Ethics from the School of Future Innovation in Society at Arizona State University.
Mika has served as a member of our Board of Directors since April 2019. Mika recently served as the Chief Customer and Marketing Officer at FreshWorks, a cloud-based customer service software company. Prior to FreshWorks, she served as Chief Marketing and Customer Engagement Officer at F5 Networks, a multi-cloud application security and delivery company. Previously she served as Global President at marketing automation software leader Marketo and then SVP and General Manager of Marketo at Adobe after it was acquired. Prior to Marketo, she was the first to hold the role of Chief Digital Marketing Officer at SAP, where she was responsible for driving growth through digital transformation. Before that she was Chief Marketing Officer of SMB at SAP. Before SAP, Mika was Head of Marketing and Merchandising at Amazon Books. She also spent more than six years at Microsoft in a variety of channel and product management roles. Prior to that, she served as Research Vice President at Gartner. Mika holds a Bachelor of Commerce, Economics and Marketing from Queen’s University.
