Biography

Sophia has served as a member of BlackLine’s Board of Directors since March 2020. Sophia is currently the Chief Product Officer at Aptiv. Before joining Aptiv, she served as Chief Technology Officer for Operation Applications at Microsoft. Prior to Microsoft, Sophia served as Doppler Lab’s Chief Product Officer. Previously, she headed Google/Nest’s Silicon and Architecture Roadmap team and led the Platform Architecture “Think Tank” Program at Apple. Sophia is a member of the National Artificial Intelligence (AI) Advisory Committee of the U.S. National Science Foundation, an independent federal agency that supports science and engineering. Sophia also serves on the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council, as well as Georgia Tech’s College of Engineering and Create X incubator boards. She holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech and an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
